New Updates on FDA-TRACK, Agency’s Performance Management System

January 12, 2011 Leave a comment Go to comments

FDA’s performance management system, FDA-TRACK, allows the public to follow the agency’s progress on a range of measures (see April 7 blog  post).

New performance data from December 2010  is now available on FDA-TRACK.  Check out FDA-TRACK for updates, including complete FY 2010 data for projects related to human drugs and biological products, and animal drug products.

If you want to improve the quality and saftey of products distributed to our citizens—STOP WARNING THE COMPANIES! Just perform unannounced visits and inspections. I own a food service business. We always know when they are comming, it is not a problem for us, but you should stop putting out warnings about inspections. In that way you can get an honest openion about the operation policies of the companies. —duh

As summarized in FDA’s 1998 rule and in the updated professional labeling for aspirin, the 100-plus-year-old drug has been shown to reduce the risk of the following medical problems:

stroke in those who have had a previous stroke or who have had a warning sign called a transient ischemic attack (mini-stroke)
heart attack in those who have had a previous heart attack or experience angina (chest pain)
death or complications from a heart attack if the drug is taken at the first signs of a heart attack
recurrent blockage for those who have had heart bypass surgery or other procedures to clear blocked arteries, such as balloon angioplasty or carotid endarterectomy.

Are you one of the many who take one asprin a day along side the common multi-vitamin?

What is your opinion on asprin and its affects on the heart?
